Information for Patients on Billing Policies

Laboratory services performed on human specimens (ie. blood, breath, saliva, skin, stool) are essential to your provider’s role in making informed decisions to ensure you receive the highest quality of care. Providers monitor laboratory results in order to treat patients to the best of their ability. With laboratory results, providers are able to make accurate and informed decisions in providing you with the best care possible. If your provider ordered laboratory testing today, you will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance company. It is important to remember this is not a bill. The explanation of benefits (EOB) is a statement of services provided. A separate patient statement will be mailed if a copay, coinsurance, or deductible is due on your account. Please contact our billing office at (800) 837-8160 with any questions regarding an explanation of benefits (EOB) or a bill received for laboratory services.

Patient Financial Support Program

Patients with special financial needs may be eligible for additional support to help defray some of Principle Laboratory’s testing costs. We encourage patients who may not be able to pay fully for Principle Laboratory’s services to contact us for an assessment of eligibility for financial support in accordance with federal guidelines.
